The Card Concept #48 {Sweet Hearts}

Welcome to The Card Concept! Each week we offer up a challenge for you to try, and we hope that you will create a card in one of the styles we have offered here.  The team is divided into the different styles and each designer explains how they were inspired by the challenge!  So come and join us and try your hand at a brand new "style" of card making or work in your comfort zone, it is totally up to you!

Before we get to our next challenge, we are excited to announce that Julee Tilman is joining our team as a Shabby Chic Designer! We asked Julee to share a bit about herself!

Hi, I'm Julee Tilman, a dabbler in many arts, mama to identical twin boys, and Owner/Illustator/Wonder Woman at Verve Stamps. I live in the beautiful Boise, Idaho foothills and have been stamping for 20+ years. I have a soft spot for all things Hello Kitty, a good cup of coffee, and rainbow ordered craft supplies. I adore mixed-media, distressing, and lots of layers, but also thrive on trying new things and blurring the lines between styles.

We also have a Guest Designer with us this month! Welcome to Rachel Bergfeld! Rachel's style is so inspiring and this month she will be making cards in the Clean & Simple category!

Clean & Simple

Hi, I'm Rachel Bergfeld, and I'm an Indiana native who's been transplanted to Southwestern Arizona for the time being. I still feel like a newlywed (just over 2 years) and my husband and I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, but no human children yet. I started papercrafting in 2011 when I decided to try to make my own Thank You cards for my wedding. Little did I know that I was starting a full-blown obsession with that cardstock and simple rubber stamp! My style has since evolved into Clean and Simple by nature and necessity. I live pretty far from all of my family and I like to stay in touch with a handmade card every so often, but they have to stay fairly flat to make it through the mail undamaged. I will occasionally play around with other styles just for fun and variety!

Welcome Julee & Rachel!

Feel free to use any of the styles of our team or better yet, share you own style by combining one or more of the styles. We want you to have fun and make a card in a style that you feel good about!

The styles are explained HERE.

The designers have entered their cards below and they have explained the style they used and the way they were inspired...
